The short version
- The tools are free to use, including at work and in commercial projects.
- What they produce is test data. It is format-correct and nothing more.
- Do not use generated details to deceive a real person or a real service.
- The reference tables are checked but offered without warranty — verify before you rely on them.
- We can change or withdraw a tool. Nothing here is a service-level commitment.
These terms cover your use of Tools SoShareIT. Using the site means accepting them.

What you may do
Use the generators for anything you like, personal or commercial, with no attribution and no account. Seed a staging database, build test fixtures, fill a design mockup, teach a class, load-test your own checkout. Copy the output freely — a generated postal code is a short factual string and we claim no ownership of it.
You may also quote from the reference tables on this site with a link back. We would rather you cited us than copied the table wholesale, but the facts in it — that Japan writes postal codes as NNN-NNNN, that RFC 5737 reserves 192.0.2.0/24 — are not ours to own. They belong to the standards bodies that set them.
What the output actually is
This is the part that matters most, so it is stated directly rather than buried.
Everything this site generates is format-valid test data. A generated ZIP code has the shape of a real ZIP code. It is not guaranteed to be a code the postal service has assigned, and it is certainly not guaranteed to be one that mail can be delivered to. The same applies to every other format on the site.
If your work needs a code that genuinely routes, the only correct source is the postal operator’s own lookup service. Using our output where a verified address was required is a misuse of the tool, and the consequences of that sit with you.
What you may not do
The rules below exist because the same string that makes a good test fixture makes a passable lie, and we would rather be clear about the line than pretend it is not there.
- Do not use generated details to deceive. Fabricated addresses submitted to a real service to obtain money, goods, credit or an account are fraud, and the fact that a free tool produced the string changes nothing about that.
- Do not use the reserved IP ranges to attack. They are listed here so your test traffic never lands on somebody’s production server by accident. Directing unwanted traffic anywhere, using any address, is not covered by any reading of these terms.
- Do not scrape the site. Automated bulk requests degrade the site for everyone and get blocked. If you need the data in bulk, ask us.
- Do not republish the pages wholesale. Copying a page and putting your own name on it is a copyright matter, not a grey area.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
The reference material on this site is checked against the specifications published by the relevant standards bodies and postal operators, and we correct errors on the page when we find them or when a reader reports one. Our editorial policy describes how that checking works.
That is a real commitment, and it is still not a warranty. Postal systems change, occasionally at short notice — South Korea replaced its entire postcode format in 2015, and Ireland introduced one where none had existed. If a decision of consequence rests on a value from one of our tables, verify it against the primary source before you act. The site is provided as it is, without guarantee of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site or its output. Where local law does not permit a limitation of that kind, this clause applies only as far as it lawfully can.
Availability
We may change a tool, add one, or remove one, and we may take the site down for maintenance without notice. There is no service-level agreement here and no paid tier that would create one. If a tool you depend on disappears, tell us — we would generally rather fix it than leave it broken.
Links out
We link to standards documents and postal operators because citing a source is more honest than asserting a fact. Those sites are not ours; we do not control them and are not responsible for what they publish or do.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, this page changes and the date above moves. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the current version. We do not notify individually, because we have no list of people to notify.
