Tools SoShareIT is a small set of data generators for people who need believable test data and do not want to invent it by hand. It exists because the alternative — typing 12345 into every address field and discovering three weeks later that the validator was never actually exercised — is a real and common way to ship a bug.

Who runs this
The site is published and maintained by the Tools SoShareIT editorial team, part of the SoShareIT group of reference sites. We are not fronting the site with an invented expert, a stock photograph or a fabricated set of credentials, so this page does not carry a named author biography. What it carries instead is a description of the method, which is the part you can actually check.
Every page names the team as publisher and carries the date it was last verified. If a claim on this site is wrong, there is a real mailbox on the contact page and a real person reads it.
What the site does
Two things, and it tries to be clear about which is which.
It generates format-correct test data. The generator produces postal codes for 15 countries, built from each country’s actual pattern rather than a five-digit assumption. That distinction is the whole point: a Canadian postal code is A1A 1A1, a Dutch one is 1012 JS, and a generator that emits five digits for both is producing data your validator will reject for the wrong reason.
It publishes the reference material behind the generators. Which ZIP prefixes belong to which US state, how 29 countries structure their codes, which IP ranges and domains standards bodies reserved so test data can never collide with something real. Those tables are on the front page because they are the useful part — the generator is a convenience, the reference is the substance.
Where the data comes from
Postal formats come from the operators themselves and from the Universal Postal Union’s published addressing specifications. The reserved IP ranges and domains come from the RFCs that define them — RFC 5737 for the documentation IPv4 blocks, RFC 3849 for IPv6, RFC 1918 for private space, RFC 2606 and RFC 6761 for domains. We name the RFC on the page next to each row so you can read the primary source rather than take our word for it.
We do not take these values from other generator sites. It is the fastest way to publish and the fastest way to inherit somebody else’s error, which then becomes very hard to dislodge because everyone can see it “on the internet”.
What we will not do
A tool that produces plausible personal details can be misused, and we would rather set the boundary out loud than pretend the question does not arise.
We will not build features whose main purpose is deception — no bulk identity fabrication, no output designed to defeat a specific verification system, no tooling aimed at signing up for services under false details. The generators are deliberately scoped to formats: a postal code, an IP range, a reserved domain. They are useful for testing precisely because they are not attached to a person.
We also will not run advertising or analytics on this site. There is no ad network, no tracking script and no cookie of ours — a claim you can verify in thirty seconds in your browser’s developer tools, which is why we are comfortable making it. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
How the site is kept current
Postal systems change. South Korea replaced six-digit codes with five in 2015; Ireland had no postcode system at all until the same year. A reference table is only worth reading if somebody is checking it, so each page carries a visible last-updated date that moves only when the content genuinely changed. We do not refresh dates to look active.
The editorial policy describes what verification means in practice and what happens when a reader reports an error.
